Another Korean Original Drama takes Over Netflix #1: Hellbound

Not long after Squidgame’s release, a new South Korean drama Hellbound is now the most-watched drama on Netflix. Hellbound is a dark sci-fi thriller that is made based on a webtoon–the webtoon is made based on an animation that the same director directed. This is an unconventional route for webtoons to be dramatized in South Korea since usually, the webtoon artist and drama/movie director are different. Moreover, here is a fun fact: the director Yeon Sang-ho made the animation Hellbound as his undergraduate senior project.
