Origins of Psychedelic Art

The psychedelic art movement is known for using bright colors, funky fonts, and worldly patterns and imagery. This transformation of art is largely influenced by Rick Griffin. Rick Griffin is one of the pioneers of the psychedelic art movement that began in the late 1960s. He was mainly known for designing posters and albums for groups such as the Grateful Dead. His art, in particular, is iconized with the singular eye-ball found across many of his pictures.
