Annatomix is a name that hardly anyone in Birmingham has heard of, let alone the rest of the world. This British painter has been painting various murals and streets across the city, and recently her commissions and projects have been gaining fame rapidly. With abstract and literal art splattered with colours and patterns, her work is goofy, interesting, and unique – much like her.

She is influenced by science, history, religion and philosophy and it’s these roots which, she says, ultimately shape her work. Her work is seen around the world nowadays, but she keeps herself very close to home, and I believe that it’s her authenticity that makes her work so great.

I really like how she mixes both clear geometries with natural images of animals. This unique style of creating images of nature with mostly rectilinear components is unique and attention-grabbing. I would love to visit one of her murals!
