Dancheong is a traditional colouring that represents Buddhist origin and positive emotions, such as happiness. They are usually seen on traditional building–Hanok. Korean Dancheong has distinctive characteristics from other East Asian countries as they have strong complementary color contrast and brightness contrast.
Most patterns consist of dragons, phoenix, crane, flower, etc.
