I really love how fashionable face masks have become. I really like the ruffle one because it is so unique. I appreciate how fashion is taking something so practical and turning it into a sense of personality. I also really enjoy face masks that have a message with them such as a message to people to go vote. It shows that something that was a rare sighting in public months ago is now a new normal. It also allows people to show off their personalities through their masks. And masks are no longer seen as a medical thing but as an accessory. People may believe that it makes masks seem more trivial but I disagree and believe it has an absolute effect. It makes people realize masks are now a necessity and a way of life. And this is our new normal and we are trying to spruce it up to make this already terrible situation a bit better.
I have also seen mask chains which is an accessory to complement a mask. It kind of reminds of glasses which if you consider is a medical condition but glasses have become a fashion accessory in recent years.
I appreciate how people are also accommodating masks for deaf people since some deaf people depend on reading lips to understand what other people are saying.

Haha these are so interesting to look at! It was also super interesting to me to see how quickly the fashion industry adopted and changed face masks the moment they realized they were here to stay. I recently saw a lace one and although it seems questionable (health wise), it’s interesting to me to see how people try to express themselves when half their faces are covered.
