This is a relevant message at any given time. However, with all that this year has presented us and with the 2020 presidential election nearing, this message needs to be realized now more than ever. This country was built on principle of the power of the people, and it is our time to speak up for for what is right because each of our voices truly matter. It is the collection of our voices that amplifies our stories, our protests, and our triumphs. I know that every generation repeats this same thing, but we are the future. We are our next generation’s leaders, and we must set a precedent to constantly strive for justice and equality. If you are eligible to vote, please vote, and if you are not, urge those around you to go vote. Many make the excuse that their vote won’t count in their state or that they were never involved in politics, but it is the collection of this mindset that ultimately generates our downfall. Anyways, moral of the story is: speak up, your voice matters
