Hawaii-based artist Kamea Hadar painted over 50 giant murals on the wall in the city of Honolulu. In terms of artistic choices, Hadar’s works are a perfect blend between fine art and street art. They are realistic yet stylized to become compelling and eye-catching. Hadar said a “sense of place” is significant to Indigenous cultures in Hawaii. Therefore Hadar researches the histories of the land and takes the limitations and boundaries into account when creating his art.
