One of Shahzia Sikander’s most recent pieces of work titled “Reckoning” really caught my eye and I think it relates to the animation projects we worked on in class. She worked on this piece and animated it with the help of Pulitzer winner Du-Yun. In this piece, she depicts an epic struggle between two warriors and a planet fighting back for its life, accompanied by beautiful, orchestral sounds.
