I was in Boston a few weeks ago, and I stumbled upon Adam Zapotok (@okiestdokiest). He is a small Boston-based artist who sells artwork at local shops and on Etsy. I do not know why I am so drawn to his artwork. His artwork is very simple and cute, almost somewhat childish. But that’s the best part of it. He has an array of illustrations. My personal favorites are the bee puns, as included below, but he has deeper, sentimental artwork as well. His next steps are writing a comic book with one of his characters, Macaroni Karate man. I genuinely enjoyed talking to him at his stand near the Boston market and learning about his mindset as a self-proclaimed ‘doodler.’
