During Fall Break, my friends and I went to New York, and one of the places we visited was the Whitney Museum of American Art, which we have heard about several times through our artist presentations. On Fridays from 7-10pm [https://whitney.org/visit], you can pay as you wish if you get tickets in advance, which I think is a great deal for all the art you get to see!

Here are some of my favorite works that I saw during my visit:

Calder’s Circus by Alexander Calder
Kitchen by Liza Lou

At the Whitney Museum of American Art, you can also step outside and enjoy a view of New York City!

I definitely had a great time during my visit. I feel that the Whitney Museum is a great place to introduce art to people who initially aren’t interested in art because of the variety of eye-catching pieces the museum houses and the fact that people can step outside and take pictures of the view without having to pay the price usually charged at Manhattan’s pricey observation decks.
