At first glance, this seems a little weird, which I admit, it is. However, when you take a look at these toilet roll holders, each one is an aesthetic reinvention of a household item that normally very little thought is put into. I think that these designs tell an interesting narrative of our current situation while also exploring the endless possibilities of design.

it might seem odd but i definitely want some of these in my house. reminds me of that one reading (Primer to Visual Literacy i believe) which talked about that balance between functionality and beauty that all designs have. our typical toilet roll dispenser might be more on the functional side, these are more on the beautiful side, but both are designed deliberately with both sides in mind.
