This article talks about the debate that art should be for pleasure or to incite political change. Personally, I don’t think there is anything wrong with art for the pleasure of others. But I personally lean towards art with a political message. I believe art can be a powerful medium to convey political meanings. For me, personally, some of the best art pieces are provocative and controversial so it seems easy to include politics since political beliefs are messy and controversial. Additionally, art is used to give the viewer a message, making it easy to give a political message. Art can be for pleasure and for politics and both are widely important.
