I’ve always loved nature so I have always had a passion for sustainability. But this passion really took off when I started diving in high school and had the opportunity to dive the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This was when I witnessed first-hand what true destruction of nature looks like as I tried to find fish in miles and miles of bleached coral.
This is why I’m particularly inspired by Jason deCaires Taylor’s underwater art that call attention to the threats to ocean life that also “double as artificial havens for coral to regenerate and new ecosystems to thrive.”
