The idea behind NFTs was created for the purpose of empowering artists to exercise control over their work. Instead , many NFTs are bought and sold for the purpose of by celebrities and global tycoons. Many rich and powerful people are buying and selling NFTs as simply a way to make money and rest their assets. Additionally, people are making NFTs of other artists work and selling it as their own without any respect for the original artists work. That being said, there are a large number of artists who are able to exercise control over their artwork, but the majority of the market seems to be in the hands of the rich and powerful. The original purpose of NFTs seems to be losing its intention.
