NFTs on SNL

I know there have been several posts about NFTs, but I wanted to make another one based on my utter lack of understanding of them and my love for SNL. On this past Saturday’s episode, SNL cast members Pete Davidson, Chris Redd, and Kate McKinnon performed a song called “NFTs”, featuring their musical guest Jack Harlow. While the song was meant to be comical, it ended up explaining more about NFTs than I had grasped from googling them. The absurdity of the music video, which consists of Davidson and Redd dressed as Robin and Morpheus from the Matrix respectively, rapping to Janet Yellen, the U.S. Secretary of Treasury, almost makes NFTs seem less complicated.
