I love watching true crime documentaries, so when I stumbled across this documentary on an $80 million dollar fake art scandal in 2011 centering around New York’s Knoedler on Netflix, I was immediately intrigued. It was captivating, humorous, and I was shocked at how the whole story unfolded. It got me thinking about a whole industry of fake and forged art, the global art market and how expensive and exclusive art can be. Check out the trailer below – I totally recommend!

I also watched this movie and highly recommend! It’s great if you’re interested in true crime and things like the Fyre Fest and Varsity Blues documentaries, but want something way less serious since the consequences are mostly rich people becoming lightly less rich and suing other rich people. I am shocked that the main art dealer agreed to be a part of this documentary but wonder if it is to bolster her claims of innocence. I don’t quite buy it but it seems it’s enough of a gray area and she’s never directly implicated herself so it doesn’t hurt to try?
