As a nursing student, I am constantly bombarded by different health infographics in my courses and in the clinical and hospital settings. From a public health standpoint, I find infographics extremely effective in engaging an audience and imparting important information that can otherwise be difficult to represent quickly and clearly. Design aspects such as balance and color are all relevant, with the incorporation of concise, factual, easy to understand language. I love reading infographics and have dabbled in creating my own for class as well! Not limited to health, infographics can provide striking visual overviews for a diverse range of topics.

This is so interesting! Thinking back to the health infographics we were spoon-fed in high school, I remember the ones that were poorly designed, and how that impacted the way I thought about their respective issues. I guess we need more good designers in health spaces!
