After 36 years the Dallas Museum of Art plans to return a stone sculpture representing a Hindu deity to Nepal. In 1984 a group of looters stole the sculpture from a Hindu temple located in Nepal. After learning about the theft of the sculpture, the Dallas Museum of Art decided to coordinate with the embassy of Nepal to return it back to its original location.

This sacred stele of Lakshmi-Narayana was taken in 1984. It is now going to be returned to Nepal.
