In honor of my finally watching the “Special Part 2: Jules” episode released this quarantine, I wanted to make a post about the hit HBO series, Euphoria and how it inspired a huge following, not only because of its writing, plot, and incredible talent, but also because of its breathtaking visuals. The neon contrasted colors used to filter the show and the costumes/makeup to match has captured its audience and really made an impact on popular culture, inspiring “Euphoria” themes parties (hopefully, based on the colors of the show and not the plot). Overall, this color scheme and choice as expressed though every aspect of the show really captures the glorified, heightened obsession teen culture has with drugs, as well as showing how drugs often make one feel/why one would get addicted in the first place—it is the easiest and quickest way to reach “euphoria.”
