“Accidental Renaissance” Photos

Recently, two posts on Tiktok and Twitter went viral sharing examples of “Accidental Renaissance” images, wherein a photo features some of the themes/elements of well-known Renaissance paintings like specific light and composition, clothing, focus on one unique face amongst chaos, triangular structures, twisted body positions, etc. Even if some of these photos were not entirely unintentional/required expertise to be captured, and even though this concept is not new, it’s an uplifting reminder of the beautiful or at least visually interesting moments that people have been experiencing for centuries.
