Social Justice in Design

I came across this interesting video of a What Design Can Do event. In this specific clip, Shihab-Eldin and van der Laken talk about what it is like to be a media activist and addresses a big range of issues like racial stereotypes on screen. The What Design Can Do group works in using design and creativity to transform society. It also hosts a Virtual Design Festival where culture and commerce are joined together through the use of design.
