Directors' Library on Twitter: "Latest Music Video: Zhang + Knight directs 'Projector' for EDEN. Watch: https://t.co/Mjf3FVhMoE https://t.co/rPAqBV4uH7" / Twitter

The concept of a music video blends so many forms of art, from the storytelling, set design, cinematography, acting, and of course, the music. EDEN’s projector combines these forms in a way that creates an aesthetic that I have never seen before. In particular, its use of color really sticks out to me; the warmth provided by the colors and shades, but also the endlessness and simplicity of the set design really articulates the eerie comfort that he feels in isolation. These colors are what bring together the entire video, and it emphasizes its importance.

I’m a big music video fan, and though I haven’t seen any quite like EDEN’s, there are so many amazing videos out there, from Ye’s “Runaway” to Joji’s “Slow Dancing In The Dark(tw: blood). It’s a medium that has so many possibilities, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I LOVE Eden! Although it’s been a while since I’ve watched music videos, this post reminds me about our own invisible cities project where we intentionally used color to represent something in an abstract way.

Woah I haven’t watched the music videos, but they definitely seem to combine shades and colors to bring the warmth into the music video. I got the feeling of peace from the pictures, and I am going to look up the music video to see what the music is about right now.
