While looking up some interactive art pieces, this piece by Candy Chang really struck me. Chang created these chalk board walls with the “Before I Die…” prompt placed on the top and chalk so that people could respond, and placed them in public spaces across dozens of cities. These “Before I Die…” walls were able to bring cities together and connect people in a very meaningful way, prompting a greater understanding of each other and connectivity within the community.
I feel like this really relates to our current project because it brings together the elements of public interaction, meaningful discussion, and artistic undertone that our Intervention Project are centered around. Definitely check out their main website if you want to see more of the project.
