Design and Engineering

I found this design of a ceiling art piece while reading through my statics textbook. It consists of many shapes and sizes that were placed in relation to each other to balance the structure through its center of gravity and prevent it tipping over. It is really interesting to see how design and engineering can intersect and create designs that can be translated into the real world.
