This name has made every headline in the past day, as well as a trending topic on Twitter and all over social media. To my (and many others’) disappointment, fan-favorite couple A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have allegedly broken up due to a cheating scandal. And Amina is the woman in the middle.
So who is she? I’ve personally been following and admiring her work for years. Not only is she a footwear designer for Fenty, Rihanna’s brand, but she also is the CEO of an “it-brand” of footwear endorsed by many A-list celebrities.
The Italian/Romanian designer attended the European Institute of Design and continued in her career path as a stylist at L’Uomo Vogue and GQ. Her brand is most famously known for the “glass slipper-esque” shoe. These octane heels sold out immediately upon their release.
After being spotted on celebs like Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, and other “it-girls”, her mule’s classic silhouette has reached cult status.
Despite the rumors being circulated, the designer was quick to refute them as lies. So until proven, fans can continue to shop from her guilt-free.
