Two decades worth of Hwan’s visions of the Korean Landscape are now being viewed in London. His exhibition “Rooted Island” is now on view at London’s Saatchi Gallery, hosted by Seojung Art.

Bringing together works from across the past two decades, “Rooted Island” traces the artist’s fascination with homeland landscapes and visible natural elements to capture spirit of the terrain. The use of colorful mountainscapes to abstracted horizons are some of his most notable aspects. As an island deeply embedded into the artists work, “island” refers to the island of Wando, his hometown. From his hometown of Wando, to the big stage of London, here is his feature in the Saatchi Gallery.
