As the pandemic continues to interfere with our everyday lives, furniture and house objects have become much more than just a themed deco for the interior design. More people are noticing the flaws and discomfort in their daily furniture that wouldn’t have mattered months ago. Even as I write, I’m thinking about the new desk-chair I’m planning to invest on, because if I can’t sip on a latte in a comfortable sofa chair at a fancy cafe, I can at least award myself with a hundred of bucks worth chair, right?

This article introduces an exhibition, Hybrid, for future houses, that explores the rising innovative approach to the new idea of furniture and items that could possibly color our lives a little bit more lively during these uncertain times. This showcase provides us with a better insight to how the design world may be potentially progressing due to COVID-19.
