Movie Scores & Soundtracks—the Importance of Music in Film

As many of us choose to take our animation projects to the next step and add music, I thought I would make a post in honor of the impact of several iconic music scores and soundtracks that undoubtedly amplified the story behind it.

Titantic. The Harry Potter Series. The Star Wars Series. Guardians of the Galaxy. The Jurassic Park Series. The Indiana Jones Series. Call Me By Your Name. The Pirates of the Caribbean Series. All the Disney Animation films!

There are so many examples of how music and sound can change how we perceive, expereince, and remember art—particularly in film! I’ve learned through this project that is it not simple task to choose the sound to accompany your art; therefore, reflecting on some of my favorite soundtracks, I was am so impressed and in awe of the work of these musicians and filmmakers.
