As we were introduced to the new project ‘Sound Analysis’, I immediately thought of cymatics. The name ‘Cymatics’ originates from the Greek word ‘κῦμα’ meaning ‘wave’; it is a study of patterns created by waves and vibrations on matters. Audio frequencies are visualized mainly with the use of sand, water, or other materials that can be easily meddled. I wanted to share the video below which presents a cinematic portrayal of sound waves.
