I’m very interested in photography and I enjoy taking pictures, especially of landscapes and architecture, and editing them. So I’ve decided to introduce a photographer to the blog this week (although its not too related to design, I hope you’ll enjoy).
Robert Adams is a black and white photographer who often portrays the relationship between humankind and their surroundings. The particular exhibition I would like to bring up is called “The Place We Live.” Adams showcases a very simplistic view of our surroundings without manipulating the objects in the frame. The use of shadows and contrast really stands out because of the B&W color choice. It’s so interesting to see that some photos look so smooth and cohesive but the details are all captured and there is texture embedded in so many of the components he decides to shoot.
I’ve compiled a few of his most well know images including some of my favorites.
