These counter narratives were really interesting and made me think about the book I am currently reading in my writing seminar called Protest!: A History of Social and Political Protest Graphics by Liz McQuiston. It’s a history of graphics as they have specifically been used in protest, but even with a focus that could be considered a counter-narrative or along those same lines, the author’s personal biases in favor of Western, especially British, art come through.
