Rubell Museum is one of the largest private contemporary art collection in North America. They have over 7,200 works by more than 1,000 artists. Of the artists that I recognized, there was Yayoi Kusama, Keith Haring, Takashi Murakami, Glenn Ligon, Ai Weiwei, Jeff Koons, Hank Willis Thomas, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. I recognized many of them because of the artist presentations in class. The huge space encompasses 48 exhibitions drawn entirely from the paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, and installations.
this piece really spoke to me because it talks about the historical power of the dwarf to freely speak their mind as people underestimate them and they are often used as comic relief like the jester.
