Founded in 2014 by Cheryl Leung and based in Hong Kong, SAU LEE is a fashion brand that constantly seeks to serve as the bridge between popular Eastern and Western fashion. Collections often include a variety of workwear designs for the modern woman, combining bold current fashion trends with the sleekness and simplicity typically embodied by clothing of this nature. While color is used in many of her designs, Cheryl also creates looks composed solely of monotone colors such as black and white, relating to the beginning assignments we completed in this course, demonstrating how color is not always necessary for designs to come to life and still serve their intended purpose. Personally, I was also drawn in by the classic feel yet daring nature of her clothing, and would love to be able to try on some pieces in person one day.
