As someone looking to go into the software engineering industry, I have always been intrigued by the way UI design influences the feel and customer appeal of websites and mobile apps. From simple things such as the font of text and color of backgrounds to larger concepts such as the page layout and hierarchy of information, UI designers have so much to consider with each feature, which I have learned takes a significant amount of time to complete since each decision, whether big or small, has an affect on the overall look of the app. Similarly to how we discuss progress on assignments and refine ideas afterwards in this course, UI designers also face a similar process, taking in user feedback and suggestions to improve upon designs and guarantee broader appeal.
