One key factor of communication through written or electronic media is font choices. An easy-to-read font is more likely to keep the readers’ attention and convey the message in the media. Many accessible fonts, such as Times New Roman, Helvetica, and Arial share several common characteristics, like being clear and simple; they do not have excessive decorations that will distract the readers, or in script that would make them harder to read. There are also fonts that are designed for low-vision and dyslexic audiences; combined with accessible color and layout choices, a good font can also make a big difference in a reader’s experience.
