Most people have heard about the Banana that set the art world buzzing. In early December of 2019, the artist Maurizio Cattelan displayed his piece, The Comedian (the duct taped banana), on the walls of Art Basel in Miami. The banana quickly took to the internet when a video of the gallery founder removed the banana from the wall and ate it. Having been in Miami for Art Basel, the boom of people copying and joking about the Banana was entralling.
