As microbreweries have grown in number and popularity, the demand for beer label art has risen. I have noticed the logos and can designs getting more intricate and detailed, looking more and more like “mini-murals” and graffitti and less like simple labeling. There is a clear aesthetic when it comes to beer can art that feels modern and alternative. It seems as though these microbreweries care less about getting their name out there and more about offering the customer a multidimensional experience when consuming their product. As they sip, they can admire the beautiful piece of art they are holding. I think this is a super cool phenomenon and I am interested to see if more and more artists opt to enter this art trend.
