A few months back, as I browsed through Weibo (a Chinese social media app), I saw this trending topic of a mycologist going by the name Ye Wei Jun online (real name is Zhou Qingfeng), who is fascinated with microscopic fungi and organisms and dedicates herself in making time-lapses and photographs of fungi growth. After watching a few of her clips, I also became entranced by these organisms. There’s something mysterious and serene about seeing the cultivation of fungi that prompted me to watch more and more.
