Since NFT artworks were briefly mentioned during one of our previous classes, I’ve decided to post something about a crypto artist, Michah Dowbak. Among other digital artists such as Trevor Jones and Norma Jara, Dowbak has seen great success and his sales have reached 7000 Ether ($14.8M).
I really like how he uses thin but distinct lines for outlining the objects, making them look almost hyper realistic but also very cartoon-like. Dowbak also animates and adds sound to his artwork but these animations are very limited to certain objects and it doesn’t take away from the original still life piece. There is also this transparent-like look to his pieces that I’m very intrigued by but cannot really identify how he accomplishes this effect.
