I used Instagram for a few months during my entire life, and I never used TikTok. However, I am somewhat familiar with both apps. When I heard about Instagram Reels in the news recently, I immediately thought of TikTok, and it turned out there is this comparison already existing. As a non-user of both apps, it is interesting to observe the competition. Today, especially among the young generation, there is a lot of talk about content and creating content. As these apps are creating various features and competing with each other, I am concerned that creativity would be moved away from actually interacting with people to mainly online platforms. How much further will social media dominate our lives going forward?
