Our sound analysis project made me think more about the connections between visual and auditory elements. In particular, I thought about music videos and how our viewing of them can change how we hear and interpret songs. Usually I don’t watch music videos, I just listen to songs on Spotify, but occasionally I will watch a video for a song I like.
I wanted to share the music video for Money Talks by Fredo ft. Dave because I really enjoy the song and because the video is one of the most interesting and impressive music videos I’ve seen in a while. It blends reverse shots with regular shots, often in the same frame, and tells a story that adds to the meaning of the song.
